Jesse Hensel

Jesse Hensel, a child of the Alaskan tundra, has used his birthplace as a
source of inspiration, drawing on the indigenous Yup'ik artistic traditions to create
(in his words) "archaic bridges" between that world and his own time and place as
a 21st century artist. Hensel received a Bachelor's Degree from Sarah Lawrence
College in New York and holds a Masters in Fine Art from the San Francisco Art
