Greetings,

This February marks the closing of The Andrews Gallery's first chapter, and the opening of a new one.  We are moving out of our Encinitas home and will be, for now, headquartered at our affiliate studio in the 2400 Kettner Arts Complex (#212) in Little Italy.  We'll be open by appointment, continuing to promote and expose all of the incredible artists that we have shown to date.  For those who haven't, we hope you'll give us a call to stop by and see the space.

While it is with a heavy heart that we leave Leucadia and the incredible community that has surrounded the project here, we are very excited about the move down to San Diego and the implementation of some new projects.  First and foremost among these will be the launch of the new andrewsarts.org in the coming weeks, which will aim to establish an interactive forum for Arts coverage both in San Diego and around the country.  To learn more about this project or to get involved, simply reply to this email or give us a call.  In addition to that, we have some new exhibitions planned for the latter half of 2010, including Denver-based light artist and photographer Ben Rose, painter and San Diego native Molly Maine, and Lithuanian-born interdisciplinary artist Ida Deichaite.

I've put together a collection of photos from over the past sixteen months at The Andrews Gallery for you to revisit some of the programming we've had here since opening our doors in October 2008.  I cannot adequately express my gratitude to all of the artists, musicians, poets, performers, and patrons who have come together to make this project the material success that it has been.  I know I've said this before, but it could not have happened without you.  We look forward to harnessing your momentum into a stimulating program of events and exhibitions throughout this new year and new decade.

Recent Press: Check out a feature article published in last week's FW Weekly on The Andrews Gallery.  Also, my portrait of the legendary Paul Williams accompanies a great piece on that 'seminal' figure by Sarah Nardi in today's SD Citybeat.  (We encourage you to check out the official website for Paul where you can learn more and contribute to his cause).

As I've said, for any questions or comments about our move, our new projects, or to just say hello, simply reply to this email or give me a call at (817) 235 2404.  I look forward to hearing from you.
